Alexander LUBIMOV

A distinguished journalist on Russian TV, a successful producer, and a public figure.

Education: graduated from MGIMO-University, the Harvard University, and the International Animation Institute in Los Angeles. Fluent in English, French, and Danish.

Lubimov was one of the creators and an anchor of the  TV show 'Vzglyad' ('The Look'). 'Vzglyad' provided a critical, truthful, and independent analysis of Soviet political life. Socially important reporting and commentaries of 'Vzglyad' made it the most popular program on the Soviet TV.

Together with other Russian journalists he became a co-founder of a TV company 'VID'  In 90-s VID produced  such legendary programs as a Russian version of Wheel of Fortune 'Pole Chudes', 'Theme', 'Musical line', 'Rush-hour', 'Matador', "Guess the melody", 'Wait for me'. Now Lubimov is a chairman of VID Board of Directors.

Alexander Lubimov is an author and a host of several popular talk shows and analytic  TV programs. One of them is a Russian version of a reality show 'Survivor' - 'Last Hero'.

Since 2001 Alexander Lubimov is one of the founders and a president of creative Mass media workers Union - 'Media Union'. Since 2007 Lubimov is the first deputy director of a TV channel 'Russia' responsible for the channel's marketing and development. He is also a host of a TV show 'Senate'. Since 1998 he is a member and a vice-president of the Academy of Russian Television.

In 2007 Alexander Lubimov became a co-founder of the film production Studio 'Mirumir'.
